Three air-conditioning units were stolen from three different Rockhurst-owned houses in the 5100 block of Forest Ave., according to an email from university security chief Randy Hopkins.

“The security department has implemented countermeasures and patrol strategies to address this event,” Hopkins said. There was no specific time given on when the units were stolen.

The Kansas City Police Department is assisting Rockhurst security in their investigation. Hopkins noted that a recent examination of recent crime statistics did not signal any “similar occurrences.”
