Rockhurst University’s Student Activities Board held their reveal show for Rockstock 2017 Tuesday night in the Arrupe Auditorium. The All-American Rejects were announced as the headliner for the annual concert, scheduled this year for April 28 on Lower Bourke field (weather permitting).

Previous headliners at Rockstock include the likes of Andy Grammer and Hoodie Allen. Last spring’s concert for Hoodie Allen was moved inside the Convocation Center due to inclement weather on the day of the show.

The band, which hails from Stillwater, Oklahoma, first achieved mainstream fame after their 2003 self-titled album The All-American Rejects, which featured the hit single “Swing, Swing.” All-American Rejects’ second album, Move Along  (2005), was home to hits like “Dirty Little Secret,” “Move Along” and “It Ends Tonight.” The album Move Along was certified double platinum.

The band’s most successful song, “Gives You Hell,” appeared on When the World Comes Down (2008) and reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Gives You Hell” was certified four-times multi-platinum for sales of over 4 million in the U.S.
